Manimals

By Mandy Erickson

Daniel Lee understands that humanity is still wedded to its feral past. In Manimals, the artist has used Photoshop's brushes and tools to transform photos of human beings into twelve powerful portraits that resemble the beasts of the Chinese zodiac - in this case, The Snake.

Both a painter and a photographer, Lee reminds us that "inside, we all still have animal kinds of behaviour."
